Horrible place. First bad experience, I brought a friend to the ER and the doctor was horrible..he was very rude to my friend and refused to leave the room after she told him she didn't feel comfortable with him checking her or because of how rude he was. Other bad experiences my sister and her girlfriend have had there..sent my sister home from the ER claiming he pain she had was constipation and her girlfriend has a lot of physical pain and other problems with her urinary stuff and the urologist told her to go to the ER and they took labs and said she's constipated!!?? She poops daily so it's definitely not that! She was in pain and they just sent her home with no help! It's ongoing problem that needs to be stopped, sending people home because they obviously don't have the knowledge or care to know what's wrong with the patient!
Worst experience I have ever had I rather drive an hour to Maine med then to go right down the street to this hospital! I went there in the worst pain at 2am with a hernia and they made me feel like I was a hypochondriac! This isn't my first bad experience either. They have shown they don't care about there patients at all!
I would recommend going literally anywhere else, no matter what you're going for. They've sent me whole with broken bones (including a concussion) multiple times, only to have them diagnosed weeks later by Maine med. The tone overall is condescending, as if to say "I'm medically trained, I know your body better than you would." ridiculous.
Caring professionals associated with Maine med and teaching hospitals. Good experience with family members coming for diagnostic and imaging procedures. Some good experience in emergency also ( although I wish they had an urgent care service in addition to emergency like at Bridgeton). And if you're there during a meal time, very good cafe services. It is a cornerstone of the community.
I had to go to the ER because my daughter kicked me in my stomach. I’d been having pains for over 12 hours that just got worse. They gave me a pregnancy test. Said it was negative and told me to go home... WORST HOSPITAL EVER!! Thanks for the f***ing help. Fwi 2 year olds kick pretty damn hard.
